Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport. It is currently operating in a seven year period, 2014 to 2020.
Erasmus+ aims to modernise education, training and youth work across Europe. It is open to education, training, youth and sport organisations across all sectors of lifelong learning, including school education, further and higher education, adult education and the youth sector. It offers exciting opportunities for participants across Europe to study, work, volunteer, teach and train abroad in Europe.
You can find out more about the programme by looking up details of how to apply from you home country national agency, which for example in the UK is managed by the Department of Education and is a partnership between the British Council and Ecorys UK.
Here at the Leicester Language Academy we have hosted and supported a number of Erasmus+ students as they complete their studies. Students from Germany, Italy and Poland have joined the Academy team and brought their experience and enthusiasm to augment both the day-to-day operation of the Academy and of their own learning. We have enjoyed their collegiality and support.
If you are considering a placement then we would welcome your application and to discuss any opportunities we may have available at the time. Why not send in your expression of interest and a copy of your CV to the Principal, Dr D Gwynne Harries and we can go from their.
Our best wishes to you in your studies and we hope to hear from you.
