The UK referendum, Brexit and LLA

ukeu-flagsFollowing the result of the UK referendum over membership of the European Union, LLA would like to reassure our clients and students that we remain committed to maintaining all our current relationships with no foreseeable change.

At the time of writing, there is a large amount of uncertainty within every area of both the UK and Europe, and here in the UK there has been a large amount of backtracking over “promises”, “assurances” and the consequences of either staying in or leaving the European Union. There certainly appears to be mixed messages over how quickly the process should be started.

Whilst the Academy remains politically neutral we recognise that there was an almost 50:50 divide at the time of the referendum. We still stand by our statement made at the time. However, in the growing debate of how Brexit might proceed, we acknowledge the remain voters who believe the United Kingdom’s best interests are served by our country’s continued membership of the European Union. Here at the Academy, we have always taken an international perspective and have valued the UK’s position as a leading member of the EU. We hope that we can maintain these benefits, both now and in the future.

“Keep Calm and Carry On” seems to be the message of the moment, and we thank you for your continued support.
